What does a Notary do?

How much does it cost to get a document notarized?

The cost of notarization depends on several factors, including the type of document, state-regulated fees, and whether you require mobile notary services. What type of ID verification do I need?

In North Carolina a signer needs an ID to have a document notarized. The ID must be current, unexpired, and government-issued. Accepted Forms of ID in North Carolina are: State-Issued Driver’s License or ID Card (from any U.S. state), U.S. Passport, U.S. Military ID (with photo and signature) or a Tribal ID (from a federally recognized tribe) Alternative Identification Options If a signer does not have a valid ID, North Carolina allows notarization with: Credible Witness – A third party who personally knows the signer and has valid ID can swear to their identity. Personal Knowledge – If the notary personally knows the signer and can verify their identity (rarely used).

Are you insured and licensed?

Yes we are insured. We have Errors and Ommissions insurance. We are insuranced for $1,000,000. We are backround checked through the National Notary Association yearly.

How do you I prepare for my notary appointment?

Review your documents for the correct spelling of names and correct dates. All forms must be completed except where the notarial wording is. Do not sign until you are in front of the notary. You must have a valid ID to complete the signing.

Where are you located?

We do not have a home office. We have mobile services so we come to you whether you choose your home, office or other public location.

What kind of documents need to be notarized?

Power of Attorney, Wills, Deed, DMV Titles, school forms, medical directives, trusts, affadavits, real estate documents and more.

Can I send someone to get my document notarized?

No you must be present in front of the notary.

I have a copy of my ID can you use that so I can get my document notarized?

No we cannot accept a copy we need to see your physical unexpired ID issued by the government or state.

What is a Notary (loan) Signing Agent?

A notary loan signing agent (LSA) is a specially trained notary public who facilitates real estate loan closings by ensuring that loan documents are properly signed, notarized, and returned to the lender or title company. Does a Signing Agent have added training?

Yes Signing Agents have additional training.

Can you provide legal advice or help fill out my forms?

No we are not Attorneys licensed to practice law. We cannot give you legal advice and cannot assist you in filling out forms. Please contact a legal representative or attorney for advice.

Can you print my documents for me?

Yes we can print your documents for you for an additional fee. After confirming the appointment with the notary email you documents to [email protected]. We will bring them to your appointment.

Is there any reason why you would decline a service?

Yes we have the right to decline a service or to cancel a service that would violate Federal or State Laws.
